We have all admired his accurate and consistent game and applauded when
Westside Story recently reached his life long lofty ambition pf playing in the Eastern Suburbs Elite A1 Sunday morning competition but few would realise the hard work, dedication and hours that Westside put in to make his dreams come true.
"While others have been out drinking up and having a good time I have been on the practice courts doing my time, I have got the blisters and callouses to prove it and they are not from self gratification I can tell you! " said a reflective Westside
"Even at night time before I go to sleep I am mentally rehearsing a number of strategic game plans for various opponents and conditions.
"I once wore out the motor on a ball machine, after 6 hours in the sun I was still ready for more but it collapsed in a smoking heap.
"I don't have the big lefty serve of a Yuppie or the natural good looks of a Abs Of Steel but I have made the best of my Wacker abilities and I am very comfortable where my game is at the moment."
Westide also is a graduate of the renown Tennis Coaching Academy of Raphael Alphabet in Marrickville.
Well done Westside the Wacker community salutes you.
