It's official now - after CapCup was accepted under Wednesday Wackers umbrella we acquired status of official tournament in the Wackers calendar. Congratulations to everyone who made it happen!
This status assumes higher attention from the media and higher responsibilities for record keeping. Therefore we are establishing this page to record the cup results and the cup holders.
So, the first Open Era CapCup holders are: Rooster and Bean Counter! They have prevailed in a battle against previous (unofficial) cup holders (Caprioska and The Fountain): 6:2, 6:3, 4:6

21/11/2009 - Official resultsCup contenders - Caprioska, Soulman, Bean Counter, Wacko-Jacko, The Fountain (last minute entry) This time it was down to the wire - five players were rotating with the decision left to the final set. Standings before the final were: The Fountain - 2 points Soulman - 1 point Caprioska - 1 point Bean Counter - 0 points Wacko-Jacko - 0 points (retired) The final set was played between The Fountain/Bean Counter vs Caprioska/Soulman. And what a set it was! The CapSoul team started really well, broke twice and reached virtually unbeatable lead - 4:0. But it's not in the nature of the Cup and its previous holders (before open era, though) to give up the precious title so easy. And they didn't - just one broken service game from Soulman and it's 5:4 and Caprioska to serve for the cup! No pressure as they say . And all seasonal CapCup players know that Caprioska may break under the pressure. But not this time. He has finished the game with the ace serve to the ad court! So we have new cup cup holders - Caprioska And Soulman!

Dear Caprioska I am not sure of your accounting methods for ranking of Cap Cup participants ? However, I will be there this Saturday to attempt to wrestle the headband and restore it to its rightful owners.

What a match it was!Cup contenders inspired by their colleagues playing in London (and therefore not participating in CapCup this time) have produced an extraordinary and thrilling performance to be remembered for a long time! This day saw the return of the cup co-founders - The Wine Barrel and Rainman, as well the current cup holders Caprioska and Soulman trying to defend their titles. The draw has decided the following combination: The Wine Barrel/Soulman vs Caprioska/Rainman (and what a clever decision it was!) Here are just some facts from the match: - First blood - Rainman looses his serve - 3:1
- The Wine Barrel is serving for the set at 5:4 and is having a set point but looses the game
- At 6:6 it was agreed to play an advantage set.
- Both teams had served for the match and had match points but struggled to hit the winning shot!
- At 5:50 pm (10 min left) Caprioska/Rainman team equalized - 11:11!
- Caprioska served his first double fault of the match but still won his service game - 12:11
- Soulman served to stay in the match but Rainman finished the match with the overhead smash (screaming and praying while smashing) - 13:11 to Caprioska/Rainman
The real epic match to be remembered in the cup history! Current cup holders: Caprioska and Rainman

It was indeed a great honour to be part of Wacker history with the longest ever set played at Wackerdon.
Full marks to the great man, Caprioska his impressive serving performance, despite my very best sledging efforts he kept his cool and held his double fault demons at bay. He displayed the tenacity of an American Pitt Bull the way he firmly clasped his headband [Cup defense] and refused to let it go from his iron clad grip. Try as hard as Soulman and I might Caprioska was an impregnable bastion of Cup Holding resolve.

Who is going to finish 2009 as the 1st ever CapCup top ranked player?
It's not easy to win the cup, and it's even more difficult to keep it. But the rewards are numerous!
Don't delay it for too long. Look at Bean Counter. By winning the cup last time he has advanced to the equal 1st place with a giant leap of 10 points!
The cup ranking system keeps its doors open to everyone - all you have to do - come, play and win!

As a generous gift from an anonymous sponsor we are pleased to announce:
The Caprioska Cup Grand Slam.
The Grand Slam is awarded to an individual who holds four consecutive cups!
As you can see from the cup results on this page our current cup co-holder Bean Counter has a very good chance to become the first ever Grand Slam winner!
Good luck Mr Bean Counter! We promise to do our best in making it harder for you than ever before!

What a great match for the season finale!
Four contenders battled through the wind, heat, and the famous Latham Park bounce for a precious title! Following the rules and the spirit of the cup, the teams were decided as: Bean Counter/The Wine Barrel vs Caprioska/The Fountain. And how good was this draw! These are just few glorious moments from the last cup of the year: - First set - reasonably easy win of Caprioska/The Fountain team - 6:2
- Second set - Bean Counter/The Wine Barrel strike back - 6:4 to them
- With 15 min left of the scheduled match time, teams decided to play full decider set
- Everyone was holding their serves
- At 6:5 to Caprioska/The Fountain The Wine Barrel was to serve to stay in the match
- By this time he was the only one who hadn't lost his serve during the entire match!
- He was still serving fantastically, but the luck was on Caprioska/The Fountain side - they are the winners of the last CapCup of the year!
Bean Counter despite the loss still holds the precious end of the year top ranking!
