Wackers 2 teaming of Caprioska and Rainman had a tough battle against the red hot lads from Matraville who seem destined for greatness, we went down in all 4 sets but never stopped trying.
The much improved Wackers3 teaming of The Rooster & The Roamer lined up on Sunday against a surprising duo of ladies (ESTC9 - Louise and Coralie - I think - Thelma & Louise more likely) that were to be no push-overs. They chased every ball and hit back at every opportunity.
The first doubles result 6:1 to the Wackers did not reflect the Thelma&Louise effort.
In his singles, coming back from a 0:3 deficit against his opponent, The Roamer clawed his way back to 5:5 due to sheer persistence and driving forehands, only to finish 5:6 in a nail biting finish.
In the second singles, The Rooster made life difficult for his somewhat nervous opponent with precision drop-shots and lobs to dispose of the left-hander 6:1 in a short time.
The second doubles saw a resurgence of Thelma&Louise with the Wackers experimenting by swapping sides and practicing shots that obviously need more practice, ending up 6:5 to the Wackers.
Final result, 3:1 Wackers and watch out for the ladies!
Wackers 4 did us proud with a sterling performance from Boom Boom Brett and The Slammer winning 4 sets to love over the Macabians at Moore Park, well done lads!

Rusty and Roamer won in three sets but The Roamer lost his set to a woman over 45. Will the humiliation ever end.
